Youth Leadership Forum Application
BHOB was asked by Youth Leadership Forum to submit applicants for their 2022-23 Class. We are asking Sophomore’s and Junior’s residing or attending high school in Jefferson County, maintains at least a B average, and demonstrates leadership qualities to apply.

About the event
Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) is a community awareness and leadership development program for high school students. YLF provides in-depth programming to acquaint students with community needs, opportunities, problems and resources. YLF also offers the opportunity to meet students from different backgrounds and areas in order to exchange ideas and broaden perspectives.
Cost: Free
It is highly competitive, so please bring your A- game!!!

Application: Complete an online application by Monday, October 3rd.
Two references: Every applicant must have two references submitted online. One must be a teacher, counselor, or administrator. The other can be any adult that knows you well aside from a parent or relative. Due October 3rd.
Interview: A selection committee will review all applications and choose a group of finalists to be interviewed. Interviews will take place on Tuesday, October 18th.
Eligibility:
- Sophomore or Junior residing or attending high school in Jefferson County
- Maintains at least a B average
- Demonstrates leadership qualities
- Possess the ability to question and work with others Interest in furthering knowledge of Greater Birmingham area
- Commits to 100% participation in all sessions
